Terms of use
Short version: Merrylet lets you send cards to people you know. Be kind with it, the cards are ours to make and yours to send, and if something goes wrong we will do our best but cannot promise the moon. The long version follows.
1. Who you are dealing with
Merrylet (the app, the website and the cards) is provided by Greetings Island Ltd, Hanagar 24, Hod Hasharon, Israel (“Merrylet”, “we”). By using Merrylet you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
2. Your account
You need to be at least 13 to have an account. You sign in with an email link, Apple or Google; keep that email account secure, because whoever controls it controls your Merrylet account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
3. What you may do
Send cards to people you know, for the occasions of their lives. You may not use Merrylet to send unsolicited messages, to harass, threaten or deceive anyone, to impersonate someone else, to send anything unlawful, or to send to addresses you have no relationship with. We may limit how many cards can be sent in a period, and we may suspend accounts that break these rules, without refund.
4. Your words, our cards
The words you write stay yours. You give us permission to show them on the card, deliver them to the people you choose, and store them for as long as your account exists. Everything else on a card - the art, the animation, the design, the code - belongs to Merrylet or its licensors. You may share the card links we give you; you may not copy, extract, resell or reuse the artwork outside Merrylet.
5. Recipients
A card link opens the card for whoever has it. We record when a link is opened so we can tell you, and we exclude your own opens. Do not share a card link publicly if it carries something private.
6. Free and Unlimited
Merrylet is free to use with limits. Unlimited is a subscription bought through the Apple App Store, Google Play or, on the web, Paddle. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you cancel in the store you bought from, and refunds follow that store's rules. Paddle is the merchant of record for web purchases.
7. Scheduled cards and reminders
We deliver scheduled cards and reminders as close to the chosen time as we can. Email is email: we cannot guarantee delivery, arrival time or that a filter will not catch it. For something that must arrive, send it directly and check.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Merrylet up, and we improve it constantly. Cards may be added, changed or retired; a card you already sent keeps working for its recipient. We may change these terms; if a change matters we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
9. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from the app or by writing to us. We can close accounts that break these terms. Either way, sections 4, 10 and 11 survive.
10. What we cannot promise
Merrylet is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, and our total liability to you for anything arising from Merrylet is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you as a consumer that cannot be limited.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and disputes go to the courts of Tel Aviv, unless the consumer law where you live gives you a right to something else. Before any of that, write to us: most things are solved by a conversation.
